GOOD TO KNOW
A few quick answers.
The useful bits, without the fine print.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are decoded, resized, and compressed locally in your browser. They never leave your device.
Will my images look different?
Compression quality and resizing are adjustable. Start with Balanced, compare the result, then fine-tune if you need a smaller file.
Can I compress animated GIFs?
Yes. Choose GIF as the output to keep the animation. Converting an animated GIF to another format uses its first frame.
Can I use camera RAW files?
Common LibRaw-supported camera formats, including CR2/CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, RW2, ORF, PEF, SRW, 3FR, and X3F, are decoded in your browser and can be exported to any available output format. RAW output is not available.
Which formats can I export?
Export JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, or HEIC. TIFF is uncompressed and may create larger files. HEIF/HEIC and camera RAW are supported as input formats.
Why didn't my target size work?
Some images cannot reach a specific size at the selected dimensions. Try lowering the maximum width and height, or choose WebP or AVIF.
